overview
Welcome back to our Boba Tea Series, where we test and make all our favorite boba tea toppings and fillings. Previously, we made our quick homemade boba and this time we’re talking about this creamy cheesy topper that’s gotten really popular lately, Cheese Cream Foam. Sometimes called sea foam, cheese foam, creama, cream foam, or even salted cheese. They’re all pretty much the same but with varying saltiness, sweetness, cheesiness, and texture.
Turns out, like many things, cheese foam is really simple to make – but is it worth going through the trouble? If you’re already making your own drinks then it’s not much extra to make your own cheese foam, especially for those who are particular to their sugar and fat intakes. Not that we’re particular about those details, but we do like the ability to make our toppings just the way we like them.

What Teas Pair Well with Cheese Cream Foam?
A big thank you to our Boba Tea Series sponsor, Zenzu Tea for providing all the delicious teas. We enjoyed our cheese foam with their North Star roasted oolong, simply because we love oolongs and depending on how cheesy you make your foam – it kind of goes with anything! That said, our friends at Zenzu Tea also recommend their darker teas like Golden Horse Eyebrow (black tea) or Ancient Tree (ripe Pu-er) to balance the richness of the cheese foam. What you would put cheese foam on? Let us know in the comments! Don’t forget to subscribe to our Youtube because next time we’re going over one of my favorites, egg pudding!
